Margaret Frymire Kelly is a writer, teacher, and scholar with a PhD in English from the University of Kentucky.

Her literature and composition classes incorporate pop culture, current events, and technology in the classroom to create an inclusive, engaging, and dynamic learning environment. 

Her research explores the intersections between property, coming-of-age, and haunting in Black women's literature. Her dissertation is titled "(Dis)Possessed Black Youth: How America's Architecture Challenges Coming of Age in Twentieth and Twenty-First Century African American Women's Literature."
